Hello! Welcome to My Favorite Things June Release Countdown! All of the new products will be available June 6th at 9:00pm EST. Snd I have another two different card for you today. The second day is always for new Birdie Brown’s set. But I made only one card with her stamp today (because I have another three for later posts LOL).
And my first card is of course all about Party Like a Pirate stamp set! This is my first pirates stamp set ever, so I wanted to play and to play with it! And my first and favorite idea was to create something like old treasure map and two kids ready to find the treasure!
The main character here is a map. I made it of the piece of the white card stock and want to share how I did it. It’s better to start with removing the edges of the card stock before you will start the stamping. If you are a right-hander — hold the piece of paper in your left hand and tear off a narrow strip of the card stock on every edge. If you are a left-hander — change the hands. You can see on my card that it adds shabby effect and the inner layers of the card stock are visible.
Then stamp any images on this future map — I use the skull, island and chest. Color them and mask with the masking paper. And now the time to make it looking like the very old map. I covered the entire sheet with Biscotti ink and then added a little of Safety Orange color on the edges to make them darker. Color the edges also on the other side — so when you will curve the edges a little, there will no be the white card stock.
Also you can crumple the paper before blending — it will add even some shabby effect! Then remove all masks and add dotted lines with the red pen. Your map is ready!
For my second card I played with For Owl You Do stamp set. These owls are so funny)) I made an owl tower on my card. I stamped, colored with Tombow Dual Brush pens and die cut three owls. I used pink, orange and yellow colors for this card.
For the background I used the same colors, but also I applied Circle Burst stencil and after sponging sprinkled everything with the water to get the spots and more texture. The edges are cut off with my favorite Wonky Stitched Rectangle die-namics — perfect shape for the critters cards. And the sentiment on the tag and some sequins.
Have a good day!
