Hello! Welcome to My Favorite Things October Release Countdown! All of the new products will be available October 3rd at 9:00pm EST. Please note, that all links for the new supplies will not be active till that moment. Today I want to share with you two my holiday cards — something simple and elegant and something bright and cheerful.
For my first card I was inspired by Let It Snowflake Too die-namics and silver-blue color scheme. These two colors look really great for the winter cards. I die cut some card stock strips of different kinds of paper (you can see the ordinary card stock here and glitter sparkle). It adds more textures and dimensions to the card. Also I adhered them at an angle that adds dynamics.
I adhered all strips together with the piece of the card stock on the back side and then sticked to the card base with the foam tape. Then stamped the sentiment from Snow Globe Sentiments stamp set and added the white snowflakes and clear and silver sequins.
For the next card I used Christmas Cocktails stamp set — it goes for free with orders this month. I just stamped some glasses randomly on the piece of the watercolor paper and colored them. I didn’t try to make it too neatly. I specially colored them carelessly, especially the background.
Then I die cut four layers of Joy die-namics word (used two colors of card stock) and adhered them all together to make the sentiment. And at the end I added some accents with the white pen and clear sequins.
Have a good day!
