Hello! Today I want to share three card I made with Hero Arts Color Layering Peacock stamp set. My good friend gave me this set months ago and only now I had a time to work with them. And I was really inspired! I like stamping and multi layered stamps, and this set is perfect for me! And for trying different techniques. All products links are listed in the post (I use compensated affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase I will get a small commission with no additional cost for you).
The first card is my (and my family ;)) favorite. Peacock’s tail is such a splendid things, I wanted to create something luxurious with it. I started with blending the background with three inks: Twisted Citron Distress ink in the center and Peacock Feather Distress ink with Tropical Teal MFT ink on the edges. I then sprinkled it with the water for getting spots.
The next step was to stamp the bottom layer for tails. I stamped them in Persian Blue Altenew Crisp Dye Ink and then let them all dry. After this, I gold heat embossed the top layers for the tails with WOW Embossing Glitter Pearl Gold Sparkle powder. The final touch is white heat embossed sentiment on the skinny black strip with the additional layer of the vellum under it. I foam mounted the sentiment and adhered few sequins.
I then wanted to make another card with the peacock, but I made two backgrounds and I could not decide which one to use. So I made two cards)) I started with stamping two beautiful peacocks. The body is stamped in Caribbean Sky and Persian Blue Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. For the tail I used misti tool to create the gradient effect with the next ink colors (from the base of the tail to the tips of the feathers): Tropical Teal MFT ink, Peacock Feather Distress ink, Twisted Citron Distress ink.
For my second today’s card I blended the front panel with the same inks I used for the peacock tail. Next step was to emboss it We R Memory Keepers Geometric Embossing Folder and sprinkled with Heidi Swapp WhiteColor Shine mist.
The sentiment is white heat embossed on the piece of white vellum, I adhered it to the front panel with few pieces of clear tape. I then foam mounted the peacock and added few sequins.
And the last card is a variation of the previous one. Here I created soft floral background with Papertrey Ink Cover Plate Peony Die. I die cut it of masking paper and adhered the mask to the white front panel. And it already looked good at this stage LOL! I then gently blended it with the same three inks I used for for stamping the tail. The last step was to sprinkle the entire background with Heidi Swapp WHITE Color Shine. When the background has dried I removed the mask.
I then foam mounted the peacock and added the sentiment and some sequins.
Have a good day!
